The 20-year-old André Smit who went missing last Wednesday (2 July) has been found.
His disappearance was publicised widely on social media as well as on other networks.
According to his mother Linda Smit, an old friend of a friend of the family contacted her out of the blue to let her know that André has been staying with the family on a smallholding in Tarlton for the past few days.
It is unclear as to why he has not contacted his family to let them know of his whereabouts but his mother says right now it is irrelevant and the family is “extremely thankful that he is unharmed”.
