Watch: Rolling taxi narrowly misses pedestrians
Taxi driver allegedly fled the scene.
This past Saturday evening (10 December) another accident occurred on accident-prone Sonop Street. A resident who has often seen these accidents happening in front of his house, captured it on his CCTV cameras. The incident took place at about 6pm.
In the video pedestrians can be seen walking on the right of the screen, when a taxi comes from the left and rolls onto the sidewalk, missing them by metres. According to the resident who also took a photo of the scene, the taxi driver got into another taxi and left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
It is believed the wet road and speed played a role in the accident.
It is uncertain whether there were any injuries.
