Emergency units fooled by fake report
It was reported that a huge accident had occurred on 9th Avenue, but upon the arrival of numerous emergency services, it was discovered that it was just a minor accident involving a biker who fell off his motorcycle.
Sensationalised information about an accident in Weltevreden Park saw fleets of emergency units from various services race to Weltevreden Park this morning, Thursday, 4 April.
A minor accident involving a biker in the Devon Valley area was exaggeratedly reported, apparently by an individual on social media, and resulted in a number of emergency vehicles, including a fire engine and ambulances, racing to the scene.

Honeydew CPF public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg, who could not understand why people would be so sensational, said the biker was examined by the paramedics at the scene.
