Heavy rain and thunder to hit Joburg

JOBURG — Thunderstorms and rainfall is predicted for the rest of the weekend.

 

JOBURG — Joburgers are bracing for yet another wet weekend of rain and thunderstorms.

The South African Weather Services forecast revealed a 30 per cent rainfall probability for today with 60 per cent predicted for both Saturday and Sunday.

Today, thunderstorms at around 2pm will introduce the rain for the next two days with further thunderstorm predicted in the evenings.

Temperatures are expected to keep above 25 degrees Celcius with lows of below 20 degrees Celcius.

Joburg has seen quite a few storms and weather warnings in recent weeks. The City of Johannesburg;s Emergency Management Services issued flood warnings in low lying areas.
