Poortview to get 242 new street lights
POORTVIEW – Ward councillor Leah Knott announces the installation of new street lights in the area.
POORTVIEW – In the next few weeks, Poortview will start to see the beginning of the installation of 242 new street lights in the area.
Following a meeting Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott had with City Power on 1 March, she can confirm that City Power is currently in the process of securing resources for this project.
The project should be ready to commence in about two to three weeks depending on the appointment of a community liaison officer.

The project will also see the added benefit of creating employment for 15 local labourers within the ward who will assist with the installation.
