WARNING: Expect severe thunder storms today

JOBURG – The South African Weather Service has alerted Gauteng residents to expect severe thunderstorms between 2pm and 9pm today via Twitter.

The tweet read as follows: “Severe thunderstorms with strong damaging winds and hail are possible in places in West Rand Districts, Johannesburg Metro, Sedibeng and Ekurhuleni.”

Residents are advised to keep themselves and their properties safe by using covered parking, closing windows and making sure pets have adequate shelter.
