A resident of Horizon View, Lizle Jones is traumatized after allegedly witnessing the rape of a woman in broad day light.

According to Jones she was on her way to buy fast food yesterday at 12.15pm  when she passed a small bush on the corner of Reservoir and Finch Street and noticed a man on top of a woman. She thought they were having intercourse and turn her vehicle around but the man fled. She then realized that the woman was raped. The woman was in a daze an unresponsive.

Jones recognised the woman as a mentally disabled homeless woman who is often seen on the street.

When Jones tried to report the case she says she was met with indifference by the officer on duty and she told that there is nothing they (the police) can do.

  1. It is horrible that police of today can’t even help. We rely on them for criminals to be put behind bars for their wrong doings, but how do we count on a community like this? Something seriously needs to be done. innocent lives are at risk because no one is doing anything not even the ones we are supposed to rely on. Government please wake up and step up take action by doing what is right and instead of pulling up shoulders help save a life! What would you do if it happened to a family member of yours? how would you react? think about this and remember each one of us will have to stand before our God someday and answer for ourselves, what would your answer be?
