Two Allen Glen teachers recently received top educator awards for their district, D12. The district is comprised of areas in Johannesburg West.
Jackie Martin was named top Tourism educator and Jackie Barnard received an award for top Design educator.
The awards are based solely on pupils’ performance. “This simply means their pupils received the highest average in the district on those subjects,” explained principal of the school Johan Wiehahn, who could not hide his excitement. Both teachers are no strangers to receiving awards, and this year saw Martin receiving the award for the third time.
