Be alert: Attend Honey Hills Block Watch meetings

The Honey Hills Block Watch urges residents to get involved and be alert.

 

The following meeting dates of the Honey Hills Block Watch (HHBW) were shared with the Record by Margaret Roodt, HHBW marketing officer.

During these meetings, members from the Community Police Forum (CPF), the Florida police and ward councilor Carl Mann will be attending. Mann is the councilor for Ward 85 and works in the areas Princess (plot 1, 9, 61), Carenvale, Helderkruin (partially), Horison Park, Horizon View, Horison, Ontdekkers Park, Constantia Kloof, Floracliffe and Kloofendal.

“This meeting offers you the opportunity to raise your concerns,” Roodt explained to the Record.

The following meetings will be held on 3 March, 7 April, 5 May, 2 June, 7 July, 4 August, 1 September, 6 October, 3 November and 1 December. Each meeting will take place at the NG Church Kloofendal at 19 Opal Avenue, Kloofendal.

“We thank NG Church Kloofendal for letting us use their venue.

“The meetings will start at 7 pm and usually end at around 8 pm.”

Roodt urges those residing in Honey Hills, Kloofendal and surrounds to be alert.

“Please inform us if you spot suspect vehicles or people in our area — our patrollers will always have block watch decals on their vehicles as well as amber lights on during patrols.”

The Honey Hills Block Watch currently boasts 117 active members of which 19 are patrollers.
