Taxi overtaking leads to a four-vehicle collision
Overtaking went bad and led to a bloody Friday morning.
Four vehicles – a light motor vehicle and three taxis – were involved in a head-on collision this morning, Friday, 3 May, at about 8am. The accident happened at the corner of Kingfisher and Snipe Streets in Horison.
According to onlookers, the driver of a green Toyota Quantum overtook another vehicle as they were heading towards a stop street while a Toyota Tazz was approaching. The Quantum then collided with the Tazz which was being driven by a young female who tried to control the car; however, two more taxis were affected.

Passengers were rushed to local hospitals and no fatalities were reported on scene. Beagle Watch Armed Response, various ambulances, Firsthelp, the Johannesburg Emergency Medical Services, and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department were all on scene.
