Apcan Security as well as Roodepoort Police are on the hunt for two suspects after an attempted break in at a house on Amatola Avenue.
A third suspect was arrested immediately thereafter. The incident occurred in Helderkruin this afternoon (6 July).
The three men were trying to break into the house when the resident spotted the suspects in the yard. He immediately pressed the panic button and security services arrived within seconds. The suspects ran as soon as they were alerted, using the neighbours’ yards to hide and escape detection.
Police also arrived on scene and helped in the search for the suspects. One suspect was caught on Chironia Street but two others are still on the run. A police helicopter was deployed to search the hills and yards in Helderkruin.
