New-car sales representative, Hennie Mostert, explained the purpose of the clean-up. “This is part of the Volvo world-wide clean-up day. We saw that the area outside the dealership was littered and it’s unsightly for motorists driving past, so we decided to clean it up,” said Hennie, who had to juggle meeting clients and participating in the clean-up.

Although the efforts of the dealership’s staff were worth recognition, the area they tackled requires regular attention in order to remain tidy. However, Hennie alluded that talks with various entities have not been successful, which is why they took it upon themselves to clean the area. “The talks have not been successful, but you know what, we are hands-on people, which is why we decided to invite our clients and staff to do the task,” he said.
