Stolen Ford Ranger recovered in Welties

A vehicle that was allegedly stolen at a school in Northcliff was recovered in Weltevreden Park yesterday, Thursday, 7 March.

According to BCI Security, their Incident Support Unit received information about an orange Ford Ranger that had been stolen from Northcliff High School and a BOLO was issued to all the company’s tactical and armed response units in an attempt to trace the stolen car.

“One of our armed response vehicles based in Weltevreden Park spotted a tracking helicopter circling overhead and proceeded to the location where it was circling.

Our armed response officer assisted the tracking company’s ground crew with the successful recovery of the stolen vehicle,” said Gary Jordaan, BCI Security’s media liaison officer.

He added that unfortunately the perpetrators were not nabbed.

“Well done to Cartrack, the Police Highway Patrol and Flying Squad, and our BCI Armed Reaction Officer for the quick response and recovery of the vehicle,” said Gary, as he thanked all roleplayers involved.
