Party with a purpose
Actor Mpho Sebeng is hosting a charity event at Inqaba Pub and Grill this Saturday.
In The Mix will be hosting a Mandela Day and Women’s Month charity event on 28 July at Inqaba Pub and Grill.
In The Mix is an events company based on the West Rand. South African actor Mpho Sebeng , DJ Thami Maqgoki (Works on Living the dream and Being Bonang) and public relations practitioner Kutlwano Mogoboya are the names behind the company.
“We decided to change things a little bit and party with a purpose. The community of the West Rand has been supporting us since our first event last year in October and we would like to give back to the less fortunate. For our event on 28 July we would like people to donate pads instead of paying an entrance fee,” said Kutlwano.
“The artists will be those who are willing to perform pro bono, as the money made on the day will go towards buying soup and more pads,” she added.
They are also appealing to companies and brands to donate and join them for a soup day when they distribute the pads to the community of Roodepoort, especially Princess. Donations could be in the form of pads, soup and money to purchase the items they need.
Inqaba Pub and Grill is at the corner of Trezona Avenue and Van Lill Street in Mindalore. The event will start at 3pm.
