Hail devastation leaves several roads closed

Authorities attempting to clean up.

By the time of publication the Record has received several reports of roads still being closed due to yesterday’s (9 October) severe hail storms that led to a number of people losing their lives.

Also ReadSAWS issues hail storm warning

According to reports, parts of Wilgerood Road are still closed, so are Banket Drive and the section of Chamdor Road underneath the railway bridge toward Voortrekker Road. We request the public to please send us any information pertaining to roads that are close or have been reopened.
