Dead pine trees pose a danger
HONEYDEW – Four dead pine trees hang over Taylor Road in Honeydew.
Four dead pine trees threaten to fall over onto Taylor Road, Honeydew.
Resident, Attilio Bravi complained that the trees hang over the road, and pose a serious danger to motorists. He put in a query with the City of Joburg in 2013, but said that the City failed to look into the situation. He complained again in November this year.

Ward 97 Councillor Jaco Engelbrecht, said that he has taken up the query with Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo, stakeholder for the liaison unit, Molefe Seale, and asked him to dispatch a team immediately to deal with the trees.
The entity’s spokesperson Jenny Moodley responded, “Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo was alerted to the request and has deployed a team who are currently resolving the problem.” She added that requests for tree pruning can be directed to the entity on 011 712 6600.
