Florida CPF’s sobering arrests

Woman ends up in KFC drive-thru.

In two separate incidents on Sunday night, two suspects under the influence has been brought to book by the Florida Sector Two Community Policing Forum (CPF).

In the first incident at around 8.45pm the team received a call for a motor vehicle accident on the corner of Goldman Street and Golf Club Terrace. The suspect skipped a traffic light and crashed into an elderly woman’s vehicle which ended up in the drive through section of KFC. The suspect fled the scene with his damaged vehicle. Community members spotted the suspect driving around Florida and apprehended him. The suspect allegedly was found to be under the influence.

A case has been opened against the suspect.

In the second incident at around 11.45pm some members of the CPF were parked at the Engen Service Station on Goldman Street.

A vehicle pulled up with broken windows and the driver requested the petrol attendant to fill petrol in his vehicle. The suspect then drove away without paying and the petrol attendant started shouting. The team gave chase and the suspect was apprehended.

The suspect apparently was found to be under the influence and a case has been opened at Florida Police station.

The police could not be reached for comment.
