The Johannesburg Bowling Association (JBA) won the inaugural Gauteng Districts Challenge this weekend.
The two day tournament had five teams competing such as Sables Bowling Association, Bowls Gauteng North, Ekurhuleni Bowls and Sedibeng Bowls.
JBA won the tournament with 81 points, Bowls Gauteng North were therunners up with 76.5 points while third place went to Ekhuruleni Bowls with 59 points.
The tough field included Proteas players such as Morgan Muvhango, Jason Evans, Colleen Piketh and Tracey- Lee Botha who participated in the Commonwealth Games last year.
The tournament was hosted at Ruimsig Bowling Club, Discovery Bowling Club and Florida North Bowling Club.
