Groenewald wins at Wingate Park Country Club
Local golf player Coert Groenewald won the IGT pro challenge race.

Roodepoort’s Coert Groenewald came out victorious at the greens of Wingate Park Country Club in Pretoria yesterday.
In the final of the International Golf Tournaments (IGT) Pro Challenge Race to Q-School, the 23-year-old had a three stroke lead into the final round and closed with a three under 69 to win on 12 under par 204.
This marks Groenewald’s sixth victory on the country’s premier development tour and also lifted him to the number one ranking in the Race to Q-School Series Order of Merit.
This year, Groenewald had seven top 10 finishes, tied for third three times and had two runner-up finishes. In the Race to Q-School series in Krugersdorp, he tied for second.
