The wreck of a motorcycle was discovered late last Wednesday afternoon (14 May) on Banket Street, Helderkruin.
The record and a member of Roodekrans Neighbourhood Watch, Quinten Theron, both came across the accident scene by chance.
What was slightly mystifying was the fact that there were no injured parties on the scene or anyone who claimed to be the owner.
The black motorcycle, registration HZD 151 NW, was seriously damaged.
