Elderly woman robbed in Witpoortjie

Two suspects got away with a cellphone and a vehicle.

An elderly woman was robbed at her house in Witpoortjie yesterday (15 Mei) at around 9am.

The woman who lives on Adam Tas Street took her dog outside when two men jumped the wall and intimidated her. According to Frik van Zyl of the West Suburbs Roodepoort Neighbourhood Watch, one of the men was armed. The men got away with her cellphone and a vehicle (a silver Mazda Etude). She wasn’t harmed physically during the incident. Police was later on scene, Van Zyl said.

Police spokesperson Nonhlanhla Khumalo committed to give comment on the robbery at a later stage.

  1. Sad to see how the west rand has changed into a cesspool of utter degradation and filth. Do people not realise that GOD sees what they do? Do they not care or know that they will stand before HIM on judgement day and give account of what they did and why they did what they did?
