Friday 15 November

Join the crowd at the Tanz Live venue in Blackheath for their ‘Rock Star’ Fridays line-up. Bands including the Olympic, No Chocolate Before Dinner, The Notion and Them Bandits will be performing. While The Notion is an up-tempo party rock group, while No Chocolate Before Dinner is a pop extravaganza. Them Bandits is a hard-hitting rock band and The Olympic hopes to transform the South African commercial music landscape. Entrance costs R40 per person and the fun starts at 8.30 pm.

Saturday 16 November

If you’re into rescued animals and against animal cruelty, be at Rumours Lounge in Weltevreden Park on Saturday 16 November. Rumours will be rocking to benefit Friends of Rescued Animals (Fora) and entrance costs R50 per person. Twenty local acts will be performaing from 12 noon.

Saturday 16 November

Saturday 16 November is another promising night at Tanz Live in Blackheath. The Local Element with Natalie Chapman presents the local acts Beverly Jane, Lilly Million, Bruce Dennill and I, The Writer. These artists offer a smorgasbord of different voices to the audience, with Beverly Jane being a rock performer, Lilly Million a folky poet and I, The Writer being innovative and contemporary. Entrance costs R50 per person or R40 if you are on a band’s guest list. The show starts at 8 pm.

Sunday 17 November

Enjoy a smooth Sunday afternoon at Tanz Live in Blackheath with multi-talented Michael Canfield. Canfield is an award-winning drummer, producer, vocalist, composer, arranger and music industry entrepreneur. He will be performing as an electrifying solo entertainer, and entrance is free. The show starts at 12 noon.

Friday 22 November

Don’t miss Red Huxley’s Road to Rancho album launch at Tanz Live in Blackheath. The launch will feature the Newtons Knife Gang. Red Huxley is a band made up of both raw guitars and vocals, with loud crashing drums and high energy. They have a Blues-y, soul sound. The Newtown Knife Gang conceptualised the band based on their past experiences within the music industry. They are described as “an in-your-face rock force”. Entrance costs R60 per person and the show kicks off at 8 pm.
