The town council in their “clever decision making” have now decided that from now on residents will receive their billing either on cell phones or on their computer emails.

That is all very well but in their clever decision-making they have forgotten to take into account that many of the citizens are elderly with various health problems.

From what I have seen SMSes are sent in such small lettering that the elderly with bad eye sight cannot read the message. Some of the elderly don’t even know how to open their SMS box on their phones.

Many elderly citizens don’t have computers and if they do they don’t even know how to get to their email boxes to read their emails.

City Power stop emailing and SMSing our accounts to us. We want them in hard copy sent to us on time every month. Don’t try to be clever, return to a system that has never failed in the past.
