Experience Arabian Nights in theatre
Catch the Arabian Nights play at the Roodepoort Theatre this October.
The Drama Buzz platform presents The Arabian Nights at the Roodepoort Theatre on 11 and 12 October.
The Drama Buzz platform provides drama enthusiasts, performers and students the opportunity to learn about and teach drama, and a place in which to write, rehearse and perform plays.
The Arabian Nights will follow the adventures of the Vizier’s daughter when she embarks on a mission to stop King Shahryar from marrying a new wife every day and beheading her the next morning.
Paula Hibberd of Drama Buzz told the Record that this would be the initiative’s fifth year hosting such big performances.
“However, it will be the first year the show is run in the Roodepoort Theatre.
“We plan on hosting four more big performances.”
Drama Buzz started at a church in Roodepoort and has expanded vastly ever since.
For The Arabian Nights performances, tickets cost R40 and should be booked in advance.
