Ruimsig parkrun still going strong
Ruimsig parkrun takes place at 8 am every Saturday at the Ruimsig Stadium in Roodepoort.
In perfect conditions on Saturday, 11 January, 840 Ruimsig parkrunners came out to run and walk the 69th parkrun.
Runners as young as five years old and under completed the parkrun and definitely looked like future Olympians.
Congratulations were extended to Heidi Adams for completing her 50th parkrun, which was an impressive milestone for her.
The highlight of the day was the three sets of twins who ran and finished the parkrun, and indicated that they would be doing a lot more runs in the future.
The parkrun organisers thanked all the amazing volunteers who give up their time to make the parkrun happen every Saturday morning.
