Upcoming Ngwenya Markets in 2020

Michele Hettema of Sure Clothing absolutely loves her time at Ngwenya. She finds the atmosphere there very relaxing and her hoodies sell like hot cakes throughout the year.

The pet friendly Ngwenya Country Market has been running very successfully in Muldersdrift for the past three years.

It is a popular market and on every first Sunday of the month visitors from all over Gauteng stream into the Village to spend some time with their loved ones.

There are many regular vendors taking part and it is believed that they wouldn’t miss a market for anything in the world.

To mention just a few of them:

Michele Hettema of Sure Clothing absolutely loves her time at Ngwenya. She finds the atmosphere there very relaxing and her hoodies sell like hot cakes throughout the year.

For pet lovers Therese Bezuidenhout of Miu Miu sells cat scratchers and loungers. Therese enjoys the market enormously and says it is her favourite market “I feel like I have a day off when I’m there, there are loads of animal lovers there and it is fabulous”

Ronel Redpath of My Birds also has lots of good things to say. She provides beautiful seeded ornaments for birds – these garden ornaments are handcrafted using a protein bond with no preservatives.

Karolina Koeberg of Premier Pure Fusion says, “Ngwenya is truly a gem for us”. She loves the live music which she says keeps the feel of the market going from start to finish. Her company produces handcrafted liqueurs (e.g. Lemon and chilli choc cream) . They also make their own lemon mojo “Dirty Lemon” which is a crowd favourite.

Precious Maduna of One Look Good Food provides yummy food. Customers like the phyllo pastry pies – spinach & feta and cheese & mushroom. Also popular are the Haloumi cheese sticks and hummus & tzatziki with pita bread. Precious loves the environment with the amazing vibes and the fact that it is child and pet friendly.

Donovan Wagner of Simply D’s sells lovely silver jewellery. “The market “for him “is the best in town, the vibe and atmosphere are warm and welcoming. Friends ,family and pets get together to spend an enjoyable Sunday together to have fun, relax and do some shopping.”

Above comments are certainly a good recommendation for other vendors who would like to promote their businesses in a great location; and also for visitors who are looking for a fun Sunday outing where one can relax and enjoy being with friends.

Upcoming markets in 2020 are on 2 February, 1 March, 5 April, 3 May, 7 June and so on every first Sunday of the month from 9am to 4 pm.
