A drug dealer who attempted to sell drugs to a volunteer responder on the night of Thursday, 9 January, is probably sitting in a prison cell with regrets after he was cornered following a high speed pursuit.
According to the Muldersdrift Community Policing Forum personnel, Sam Barale, a suspect attempted to sell drugs to a volunteer responder at a petrol station on the West Rand, who then engaged the police.
She said a high speed chase ensued through Muldersdrift while Sophiatown police requested backup chasing the suspect on a said direction.

“At 9.53 pm a live location was posted by the police and Final stop responded,” she said.
Although signals glitches almost hampered the pursuit, Sam said it ended on Gordon Road near the N1 where the vehicle was boxed in by the responders. A Full Stops vehicle was used to push the suspect off the road, according to Sam.
The suspect was arrested. It is unclear at this stage which police station he was detained at.
“Thank you Final stop and all responders for your speed and support and making this arrest possible. Another drug dealer off the streets,” a grateful Sam hailed all the role players.
