Horrific accident on Hendrik Potgieter claims biker’s life

A horrific accident involving a motorcycle and a taxi on Hendrik Potgieter Road just before Doreen Road left motorists angry and traumatised by the gruesome scene.

Emergency personnel confirmed that the motorcyclist was deceased on their arrival.

The driver of the taxi allegedly fled the scene and was picked up by another vehicle.

JMPD impounded both the bike and the taxi to get hold of the owner so that the driver can be located.

According to an eye witness, the taxi made a u-turn on Hendrick Potgieter Road in front of the motorcycle.
