A quiz in support of a good cause
The winning team was The Whippets who chose to split the winnings of 100kg of food among all five animal-welfare organisations represented at the event.
Saturday, 7 December, saw a successful Feed the Furry Quiz Night at the Burger Bistro in Little Falls.
The main objective of the fun night of food, drinks and a few quiz rounds was to raise funds for animal charities.
The sponsors and co-hosts were Burger Bistro, Tails & Trails SA, Quiz Nights SA, Synergetix and Synergetic Nails.
Quiz master, Monica Bock conducted the quiz with a lot of enthusiasm and the occasional twist of humour.
Event organiser, Celeste Vermeulen said, “Saturday’s Feed the Furry Quiz Night was such a great success. We were fully booked at Burger Bistro and we had so much fun. The food was amazing. Thank you so much to everyone who joined in, thank you for your support, and I hope all of you had just as much fun as we had.”

Celeste said, “We will be dropping off their share of the winnings within the next two weeks to CLAW (Community Led Animal Welfare), FORA (Friends of Rescued Animals), Woodrock Animal Rescue, Paws R Us (SA), and Nordic Rescue SA NPC 2014/182524/08.”
From the proceeds of the evening, R2 000 will be given to CLAW towards medicine for their clinic.
The rest will be going towards the three Feed the Furry Festive Food Drives to be held during the December holidays.
