Another generous delivery for CLAW
The patrons normally drop off or buy food at AJ’s Pub, and Graham Lucas drops it off at CLAW on a regular basis.

AJ’s Pub on Rinyani Avenue in Weltevreden Park runs a Pub Quiz and Bingo session every Sunday between 2pm and 5pm.
The pub owners decided that a novel way of helping causes dear to their heart would be to incentivise the quiz teams and reward them with a bonus point if they bought an item of either food for animals in need or for a community project that benefits families in need.
The patrons normally drop off or buy food at AJ’s Pub, and Graham Lucas drops it off at CLAW on a regular basis.
Graham said, “As an animal lover and advocate for animal rights, I decided to help with the initiative for CLAW. I am passionate about supporting charities such as CLAW, which rely on the generosity of the general public to continue their support to disadvantaged community members who simply do not have the means to afford veterinary care for their pets.”
The patrons have thoroughly embraced the initiative on Sundays and it has grown substantially as people donate to either the human or the animal cause.
Many of the winners of the Bingo sessions donate their entire winnings to either the needy or to the CLAW initiative.
Andrew van Nieuwenhuizen, the owner of AJ’s has been supporting this initiative along with his wife Susan for many months now.
Andrew said, “We have also accumulated a huge amount of food, clothing and household items for vulnerable families that will be donated to communities before Christmas”.
