Sector 2 elects new committee for 2020
The majority of the previous committee's members did not bid for their positions, and the Sector 2 chairperson, Neville Burnett, was the only person who opted to remain at the helm.
The year 2020 will ensure new blood in the Honeydew Sector 2 Community Policing Forum (CPF) following the appointment of a new committee on Thursday, 28 November.
Regular faces at this monthly meeting who attend on behalf of their Residents Associations put their names forward to fill portfolio positions within the fforum.
The majority of the previous committee’s members did not bid for their positions, and the Sector 2 chairperson, Neville Burnett, was the only person who opted to remain at the helm.
Burnett will be assisted by Dave Baxter who assumed the position of deputy chairperson. The longest-serving public relations officer, Jon Rosenberg was replaced by Michael Steyn. Eileen Nobes assumed the secretary position while Kevin Thomson became her assistant. Hanlee Fourie will continue to head the Victim Support Unit.
The chairperson of the Honeydew CPF executive committee, Obert Mlauzi, alongside Rosenberg wished the new committee all the best and offered to assist them with their portfolios whenever they are needed.
