Quality of cricket raised by Cricket Academy
The Academy based at Ruimsig stadium is a dedicated cricket facility, offering quality one-on-one cricket coaching for all ages, boys and girls.
Ruimsig Cricket Academy keeps producing quality cricketers who excel in provincial and school cricket as a result of their one-on-one professional cricket mentoring.
Coach and club owner, Jared Newton said, “I’ve seen tremendous progress from my cricketers as they continue to improve their technique and become assets in their respective cricket teams and schools.”
The Academy, based at Ruimsig stadium, is a dedicated cricket facility, offering quality one-on-one cricket coaching for all ages, boys and girls.
In October one of the products of the academy, Josh Smith, tested his polished batting skills when he displayed some match winning shots for Helpmekaar’s 1st XI Cricket side and scored an unbeaten 141 not out against Maritzburg College.
Josh also bowled exceptionally well in the following month against Michaelhouse, with some impressive figures in a T20 match. His figures were three overs, one wicket for 12 runs.
Ronan Hermann, who has been with the academy for five years, scored 44 runs for Hoërskool Noordheuwel’s 1st XI against St John’s College.
Coach Jared said, “Our goal is to assist every cricket player who attends our academy to improve their skills, as well as their knowledge of the game. We focus on batting, bowling, fielding and wicket-keeping as well as each player’s strength and conditioning.”
