Florida Water Polo Club was started in 1925 at Florida Lake and the players used the actual lake, making the club one of the three oldest clubs in Gauteng.

The club has since moved and is now located at Allen Glen High School in Weltevreden Park where it has grown considerably in size and has some of the best water polo facilities in Gauteng.

With numerous years of competitive polo in the form of tours around the country, the club was proud to be placed fifth nationally in the Masters tournaments A Division this year.
