Help Joshua ride for charity
It has been two months since the Weltevreden Park Primary School learner has finished his therapy and he is ready to raise awareness about cancer.
10-year-old Joshua Soles was diagnosed with an Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma, a 10cm x 10cm tumour at the base of the bladder on 14 April 2018, at the tender age of eight, just two months shy of his 9th birthday.
After going through 17 months of chemotherapy, 60 days of radiation and eight operations, this young fighter will be taking on The Discovery 947 Kids Ride in order to raise awareness for kids with cancer and raise funds for his chosen charity.

Joshua’s mother, Lara Sole said, “Until you find yourself in this world of paediatric cancer, you have no idea how important donating blood and registering to be a bone marrow or stem cell donor are. These are a few simple ways people can help kids fighting cancer have a chance at life.”
Members of the community who would like to help Joshua raise the much-needed funds for his chosen charity can contact Lara on 082 309 2020 or send an email to mikelasole@gmail.com.
