ProTouch win the final stage of Tour of China
ProTouch’s mission was to be in every move, to show that they have something special to offer and that they deserve to be there.
ProTouch’s Reynard Butler won the final stage of the Tour of China 2 in Mingshan on 22 September, completing the 91,2km fourth stage in 1:56:26, with Youcef Reguigui second and Matthew Gibson third.
Following the first three, Andrea Guardini and Marco Benfatto were placed fourth and fifth respectively.

ProTouch’s mission was to be in every move, to show that they have something special to offer and that they deserve to be there.
At the start of the race, a group of 16 riders with Mitch Eliot, Rohan du Plooy and Reynard Butler tried to create a breakaway, but never got more than 30 seconds ahead.

Then a new move of two riders started with Eddie van Heerden, joined by four riders including Rohan, but the peloton brought it back with two laps to go.
It was a fast finish and the South African outfit did a good job. Each of them had a special mission and they executed this perfectly.

The result was a big win for the team, ahead of the Pro Continental/ International Continental teams, and created confidence for the future.
