Ward 89 councillor Amelia Bester is inviting residents from her ward to partake in this weekend’s A Re Sebetseng clean-up.
The meeting point will be at Panorama Primary School in Weltevreden Park on Saturday from 8am to 11am.
In a Facebook post, Amelia explained the nitty-gritty of the event. “We will be supplied with maps indicating where the fire hydrants in the ward are, and will get a demonstration on cleaning and marking from Johannesburg Water. We will be teamed up with officials from the Region,” she said.
She advised attendees to bring their own strong gloves and brooms, and remember to wear a sun hat and sunblock.
“JRA will supply some paint, but we will have to supplement this,” she said, adding that yellow road-marking paint is available at Builders Warehouse outlets for those looking to purchase their own.
