With winter almost over, we’ve been experiencing much warmer temperatures during the day lately.
However, we should be warned about the next season, (Spring) a new equinox which normally brings about heavy rains and storms which wreak havoc in many parts of the province.
We’ve had a quite a good (or should I say bad?) share of these disastrous events, which leave many especially those residing in informal settlements, suffering the most.
I’m hoping we are preparing ourselves, getting everything in check prior to these conditions. I hope that any City officials reading this letter make sure that they remind those working in disaster management to start prepping themselves as these days are slowly looming.
