TRAGIC! Biker killed in an accident involving a taxi near Clearwater Mall

A horrid accident involving a taxi and a motorcycle last night, Saturday, 20 July, left the motorcycle rider dead and a female passenger with critical injuries.
The accident happened on Hendrik Potgieter Road in the vicinity of Makro/Clearwater mall, just before 8pm, according to a BCI Security report.
BCI control immediately contacted ER24 and dispatched the BCI operations manager and area reaction officer to investigate.
The report stated that various emergency companies attended to the scene and the motorcycle female passenger was treated at the scene.
Unfortunately, nothing could be done for the driver of the motorcycle as he suffered fatal injuries.
“A helicopter landed on Hendrik Potgieter Road and airlifted the female patient to the hospital.”
“The Johannesburg Metro Police Department attended to the horrific scene and indicated that they are investigating the matter. The driver of the minibus taxi was taken to the hospital under their guard,” the report stated.
