Ladies Circle shows some love to Nordic’s huskies
The team from Ladies Circle visited the Nordic Rescue in Tarlton to spoil the huskies with love and treats.
On a plot in Tarlton you will meet the friendliest, fluffiest dogs you will ever see – the huskies from Nordic Rescue.
With their tails wagging, they were all waiting for their chance to play with the visitors who came to see them on Saturday, 22 June when the Ladies Circle Northridge 7 team reached out to Nordic Rescue in Tarlton.
Elke du Bruyn, owner of this rescue centre said that she has always had a soft spot for huskies and has been rescuing them for more than 10 years.
She opened the centre in 2010 and it was registered as a non-profit organisation in 2014. They currently look after 25 huskies, some of which are cross-breeds.
The dogs are sterilised and vaccinated before they come to Elke, where she takes care of them, loves them and tries to find them a new home.
Some of them come from as far as Port Elizabeth to live with Elke and her husky babies.
The women from the Ladies Circle decided to visit this rescue centre on the Saturday and spoil the huskies with food, blankets, toys and treats. They also spent more than three hours playing with and cuddling all the huskies.
Sulette van der Berg from the Ladies Circle said they all love animals and wanted to do something to help Elke and her rescue centre.
