JUST IN: Fire destroys shacks in Zandspruit

About 15 to 20 shacks in the Zandspruit informal settlement have reportedly been gutted by fire today, Wednesday, 19 June.

Ward 114 councillor, Victor Mafinya, confirmed the incident; however, he claimed uncertainty over the cause.

In a Facebook post by the Suburban Control Centre, they reported that three fire engines were on scene already.
