Braydon Roux makes waves in gymnastics
He qualified again for the final for this year but will not be able to compete because he will be away on holiday with his family.
Braydon Roux, who is in Grade 6 at PLG Mellow Oaks Academy, has been making waves in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) competitions for the past two years.
Braydon has been an overall winner for his level and he has Central Gauteng Colours in Gymnastics.
With nearly 300 competitors in the MAG competitions, Braydon has remarkably managed to maintain his position as overall winner in all the competitions.
Braydon obtained the highest overall top score of 38,8 at the invitational MAG Competition Level 3, earning himself a gold medal on 6 April.
At the MAG District Competition Level 3 held on 4 May, he obtained an overall top score of 38,25 with an excellent score of 9,9 on his floor routine, earning him the highest score again, plus a gold medal and his Central Gauteng Half Colours.
Braydon also competed at the Provincial MAG competition for the National Championship on 25 May, where he achieved an overall high score of 37,9. He was the only competitor that achieved over 9 for all the events, thus earning himself another gold medal.
He qualified again for the final for this year but will not be able to compete because he will be away on holiday with his family.
Braydon trains at Vision Gymnastics at Clearwater in Roodepoort, under the guidance of Coach William and Coach Daniel.
