Suspects arrested with narcotics on Election Day

As BCI Security arrived on scene, the suspects tried to flee from the centre.

 

Two suspects were arrested and the vehicle and narcotics in their possession were seized by police after being intercepted by BCI Security at a local shopping centre on Election Day, 8 May.

A suspicious vehicle without a registration plate was seen driving around the centre, according to a post by BCI Security.

They responded to an alert from the centre guards, and upon arrival, found the vehicle trying to flee from the centre. They successfully stopped the vehicle.

According to BCI, the occupants immediately started to throw items, which were identified as narcotics, out of the vehicle.

A large quantity of narcotics was seized and the suspects arrested.

Upon further investigation, a considerable quantity of narcotics was found in their possession. They also had a scale and about 100 small bank bags (used to pack smaller amount of narcotics), four cellphones, a tablet and a knife in their possession.

Honeydew Police were contacted to arrest the suspects.
