The astounding work being done by the 2017 elected committee of the Welridge Residents Association continues to unite residents in the precinct.
This time, the new committee hosted a successful Easter Egg Hunt event on their self-maintained greenbelt which saw family and friends and their little ones come out to enjoy a fun afternoon of searching for Easter eggs while picnicking in the shade on Saturday, 13 April.

The RA’s chairperson, Audrey Vrachionidis, shared the RA’s journey and the purpose of the event. “The RA was started 22 years ago by partners called Volker and Pauline Hoffmeister. They ran the RA until about 2014, when they decided to retire and in 2017 a new committee was elected. This committee has been hard at work trying and bring about improvement and also be the change that is needed to uplift and maintain the green areas and the suburbs in generals.”
“We arranged the Easter Egg Hunt as a means of saying thank you to our members who have supported us over the years, and wanted them to enjoy the greenbelt that we pay so much to maintain. The idea was also to get the neighbourhood together, fostering neighhourhood relationships,” she explained.

She added that the children and the adults had an absolute ball during the hunt.
She also thanked everyone who made the day a success for their contributions. “We would like to thank the community for making this day a success, Community Support Services for providing paramedics, the Honeydew Community Policing Forum patrollers for monitoring the parking the area and their sound guys for proving music,” she concluded.
