Prepare to ‘park off’ your ride at Cecil Payne Stadium this weekend
The Park Off is set to begin at 12pm.
A ‘Best of the West Park Off’ will be held on Saturday, 6 April, at the Cecil Payne Stadium to help raise funds for the renovation of the astroturf soccer fields at the stadium. There will be various categories in which car owners can take part, such as ‘Best Sound Installation’, ‘Best of Show’, ‘Best Wheel’, and ‘Low Limbo’.
There will be jumping castles for the children as well as food stalls to keep everyone fed.
The day is an initiative that Miss Junior Teen SA 2013 is involving herself with. She picks an annual community-based drive or project that she gets involved in, in different areas. She has been involved with various children’s homes in the past, and also collected over 10 000 teddies for the Gauteng Biker’s Toy Run, plus an additional 5 000 toys which she distributed to various government hospitals as well as the various Rape Crisis centres.
