Two suspects arrested for theft in Florida

They will be appearing in the Roodepoort Magistrates' Court soon

Two suspects, aged between 36 and 38, were arrested for possession of stolen goods on 6 February.

According to Sergeant Mpho More, the Florida Police spokesperson, the arrest was made by members of the Johannesburg Cluster and Trio Task Team. “These members followed leads on a case of a hijacking that happened on 29 January, during which two cellphones were stolen. The phones were tracked and found in Soweto and Fleurhof respectively,” she said.

The suspects will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.

More concluded by saying, “We are appealing to members of the community to not buy stolen items or use them. They should rather report this to the police, which can be done anonymously.”
