The programme is designed to enhance the hidden speaking gift while building the confidence and charisma of an individual.

Have you been struggling with public speaking at work or social gatherings?

The Bacon & Egg Toastmasters Club is inviting local residents hoping to overcome their challenges to join them at their first meeting of the year on Saturday, 19 January at the Barefoot Country Restaurant at the Ngwenya Glass Village in Muldersdrift from 8:30am to 11am.

The junior and senior members of the Bacon & Egg Toastmasters Club.

Toastmasters is built on a structured education programme called Pathways, where members learn by performing assignments and listening to positive evaluations from fellow members who themselves are learning by practising how to give feedback that motivates their friends.

The programme is designed to enhance the hidden speaking gift while building the confidence and charisma of an individual.

Andreé Venter, the club’s Vice President shared her testimony about the Toastmasters. “We have members with careers such as teaching and sales where you think they should be confident, and those who want to be more confident and come out from behind the computer screen or admin desk. I am a travel consultant; a people-facing person, and I have found that being a Toastmaster has helped me conquer my self-doubt and build my confidence after a time of great personal stress,” she reflected.
