Children blessed with early Xmas presents

The event saw the director of Impophomo, John-Mark Kilian, dress up as Santa Claus to hand out the presents to the horde of little ones.

The parents of the children at Realeboga Pre-primary School will have very little to budget for when it comes to stationery, toiletries and toys for their kiddies during the festive season.

Their little ones received early Christmas gifts when Impophomo, a non-profit organisation and Momentum Insurance, organised a Christmas party for the Zandspruit-based school.

The event saw the director of Impophomo, John-Mark Kilian, dressed up as Santa Claus to hand out the presents to the horde of little ones.

Emmanuel Mahlanga, Corporate Social Investment manager at Momentum, spoke about the company’s involvement in this initiative. “Momentum is proud to partner with Impophomo and Umsizi in making sure that the children of Zandspruit have a happy day, in a safe environment and are going to enjoy the festive season like every other child in the country,” he said.

He added by praising his colleague, Keith Naidoo, the head of co-business at Momentum, who spearheaded this partnership. “Keith is an active volunteer on the programme. He does this together with his family and we are so proud to have a selfless colleague like him who makes sure he gives back to the community,” he explained.

Keith responded, “The event was hosted by Impophomo in partnership with North Point City Church in the spirit of giving. Because Jesus gave freely and we live by that principle, we also give freely. And who better than to bless than these precious little kids who are the future leaders of our country”.

The principal of the pre-school, Rebecca Matiwane, thanked all the role-players for their efforts to put smiles on the children’s faces.
