Wilgeheuwel residents have stated that they are enjoying the unpolluted air and river water while it lasts, following repairs to a problematic sewer line near Shearwater Road.

Johannesburg Water (JW) eventually repaired the sewer that had been blocked since October, but the problem initially started in August, according to Thys Smith, who was not convinced about the sustainability of the repairs.
