Wilhelmina Avenue a problem with test drives

Anne from Constantia Kloof writes:

I would like to share issues with Wilhelmina Avenue, the residential road everybody uses for testing their vehicle’s abilities.

Because it’s such a nice straight and quick road from Clearwater Mall to Jim Fouché Road everybody seems to be speeding on it, not a little but extremely. It sometimes sounds like a fierce wind passing by at 200km/h.

A couple of years ago I heard a huge bang, and when I looked out through my kitchen window, I saw our neighbour’s daughter has overturned her vehicle and crashed through her own parents’ brick wall because she was hit from behind by another car as she turned into the driveway.

This is also the test road for all the car dealerships next to the Harley Davidson dealership and at Clearwater.

I have sent emails to the roads department at the town council begging for speed-bumps to be installed, but nothing has happened.
