Jordyn, Charter’s top soccer prodigy
Jordyn even plays as goalkeeper for the school's boys' team.
Grade 11 Charter College learner and soccer star Jordyn Ramsden was chosen for a select JVW Girls’ School League team, which she played for during the weekend of 9 November.
Jordyn was part of Charter’s first girls’ team that took part in the 2018 JVW Girls’ School League and after the league came to an end, they wanted to put together a select team with the league’s best players. Players from all over Johannesburg took part in the trials for the select team, and put on a strong performance to impress selectors.
Jordyn, a goalkeeper, was chosen for the team which played in a friendly cup series against several teams from KwaZulu-Natal. The JVW select team managed to earn a third place finish, a commendable achievement considering the fact that they hadn’t played together before.
When Jordyn is not busy making waves for the JVW team, she’s impressing spectators at Charter College, where she also plays for the school’s first boys’ team.
